This weekend we took Matthew to his playgroup at the Miquon School. We are exploring different pre-school / kindergarten options for Matt. The Miquon School beleives in learning by doing (kids in the 6th grade compost!). The kids get a choice of which "specialist" they want to spend their activity time with (art, music, science, physical eduation). It really is a lovely school and I was able to take a few pictures of the room Matt would be in. It has lots of light and is in a wooded locale. (I didn't want to be rude and take pictures of other people's kids at the play group).
There's a fish tank there, but the room also had birds, worms and frogs, all of which Matt gravitated to instantly.
Matt had a good time on the slide, even if he looks scowly in this picture.
They are very big on arts and crafts and explore-y type stuff. I might have blown Matt's chances of getting in by handing him a capri sun on the way to the playground. Once out there, they had set up organic juice boxes and strawberries. Oops, oh well.
Meanwhile, it was Restaurant Week and we took the opportunity to have dinner with Steven at Cuba Libre.

Dinner was great and it was very nice to catch up with Steven!
